Lerato Kganyago Fires Back At Critics

South Africa’s media ‘IT’ girls came under fire on Freedom Day for always bagging all the gigs leaving no room for new talent and new faces. Amongst the ‘IT’ girls who include Bonang, Minnie Boity, Pearl Thusi and Pearl Modiadie is Lerato Kganyago who took to twitter to fire back at the critics.

The radio and television personality says she worked hard to earn the position she is in right now. She took her fans back to her Soweto TV days when she used to be laughed at. “They thought I was a Mickey Mouse when I was working my way up at Soweto TV Akere!!!”, she tweeted.

Lerato says she doesn’t feel bad for all the success she’s had so far. “50 auditions, 5 demos to Metro FM, 2 demos to YFM, years of rejection, not once did I khomba anyone, saying they don’t deserve their job”, she fired back.

The outspoken personality ends up her rant with a little advice for those who wish to have a career in the entertainment industry. “Go use those fingers to get experience at community radio stations and tv stations! And stop using them to khomba people!!!”
