In a recent social media incident, Lerato Kganyago, a well-known radio presenter, confronted a man who had been harassing her, falsely claiming to have children with her. The confrontation unfolded on X where Lerato shared a video featuring the man making baseless demands.

The video captured the man speaking in Zulu, saying, “Hello Lerato, may I please see the children?” This was followed by another post from him, stating, “Hi Lerato Kganyago, I still haven’t received any response from you. Or is it better if we handle things formally and take the legal route? I want to see my child.” He also mentioned, “I have a child that I need to see and they are prohibiting me from seeing the child. I have assets, a house and a car and they are also prohibiting me from seeing, getting those.”

Reacting to the situation, Lerato expressed her disbelief, stating, “At first, I thought this was a joke. A year later, this is still happening. I hope your family gets you all the help you need because I just have two dogs!” She clarified, “I don’t know you, and I don’t have children with you or anyone. If anyone knows this gentleman, please DM me. I’ve been harassed on my phones, at work, through my colleagues. I know this is a serious problem, and I pray your family sees this and assists you!”

Condemning the harassment, Lerato’s response garnered support from her followers, with many expressing solidarity and concern over the distressing situation. One follower commented, “This is unacceptable behaviour! Stay strong Lerato, we stand with you.” Another added, “Sending love and strength your way. Nobody should have to endure such harassment.”
