Renowned composer, singer, songwriter, and music producer, Lebo M, has announced that he will be performing live for the first time in Cape Town in 2025. The exciting news comes as Lebo M prepares to stage a monumental concert, celebrating his work, particularly his contributions to The Lion King.
“My music is – and always will be – rooted in home soil,” Lebo M shared, expressing his deep connection to his South African roots. “I couldn’t be more excited about staging my first live concert season in Cape Town next year.”
Lebo M revealed the details of his live performance during a media event in Cape Town, marking the 30th anniversary of The Lion King’s debut. The concert, titled The Voice & Spirit of The Lion King, will take place at the Artscape Opera House from 11 to 13 April 2025.
This highly anticipated performance will feature a global ensemble, including the Ndlovu Youth Choir, the 25-piece Soweto Spiritual Choir, and the 45-piece Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra. Singer-songwriters Refi Sings and Nkosinathi Shabalala will also join the lineup, creating a powerful collaboration of talent.
