Lebo Keswa, who has been making waves with her podcast appearances, is preparing to launch her very own podcast titled My Journey on October 17. The upcoming series will dive deep into themes of women empowerment, abuse, love, and breakups, drawing from her personal experiences.
Lebo, who married Generations actress Letoya Makhene in a traditional ceremony three years ago, announced earlier this year that the couple had parted ways. Since then, she has opened up about the alleged emotional and physical abuse she endured during their marriage.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Lebo explained her motivation behind the podcast: “I’ve noticed a lot of women are smiling with scars from the abuse they’re experiencing in their love relationships. I’ll be expressing myself as well, as I was abused physically and emotionally in my marriage.”
She further hinted that there is much more to her story than the public knows. “Whatever people know about my marriage to Letoya isn’t enough. I’m going to speak up more.”
Lebo also addressed the public fallout with Letoya, revealing how the actress’ alleged lies have impacted her life and career. “I’m not going to entertain ‘crying wolf.’ She started this whole mess by tarnishing my name and not being truthful about what happened to our marriage. Today I’m approaching six months being unemployed, and I have lost out on three jobs due to her lies about me.”
