Late Actor Dumi Masilela Remembered By SA Celebs As His Murder Trail Is Set To Resume. It has been four years since former Rhythm City actor Dumi Masilela was murdered. The actors death saw his wife of 3 months Simphiwe Ngema widowed, and his fans heartbroken over the tragic news.
In August 2017, Masilela was shot during an attempted hijacking in Tembisa South and died in hospital the next day. Gauteng police revealed that Masilela and a friend sped off after they were approached by attackers in a Jeep. The men responded by firing shots at them however, the criminals managed to get away.
He may be gone but his legacy still lives on through his loved ones that are left behind and his dear friend Zola Hashatsi paid tribute to him in a recent IG post. Masilela would be celebrating his 33rd birthday today and Hashatsi penned a heartfelt tribute on the eve of the special day.
In the post, Zola shared that the late actors murder trial is set to resume and he will be in court making sure that justice prevails for his friend. Hashatsi expressed the importance of seeing the culprits who took an innocent life locked behind bars.
Other celebs who were close to the late actor commented on the post also paying tribute to the late actor, sharing how much they miss his bright spirit.

The men accused of the crime: Mfundo Nkosi, Bongani Masumbuka and Solomon Mukhuba, were found guilty of Masilela‘s murder and have been facing charges of murder, hijacking, attempted hijacking and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
