Lasizwe Reveals He Has Checked Into A Mental Health Wellness Facility. Mental health is a very delicate issue which is why people are encouraged to seek help in dealing with it. Even though the topic has been viewed as taboo for men, they are also motivated to seek help in dealing with mental wellness instead of suffering in silence. The issues around mental health are very sensitive for celebs because they deal with tough situations in their personal lives but are stripped of their privacy while doing it.
Celebs including the likes of Connie Ferguson, Masasa Mbangeni and more have opened up to the public about dealing with depression and anxiety and now Lasizwe is also encouraging his followers to deal with their mental health head on. Taking to Instagram, the YouTuber opened up about his battle with mental health and the importance of taking care of your emotional wellbeing.
Lasizwe did not mention which facility he has admitted himself into however he did post a video from inside his room. The award winning YouTuber captioned the video sharing that he is not one to shy away from making his feelings known. He also admitted that he has been struggling with depression for a few months now but he is ready to face his demons.
“One thing about me, I am not shy to express how I feel. I have checked myself into a Mental Health Wellness Facility. I haven’t been okay for the past months. I have been so depressed. I have decided to fight this by taking a break and dealing with this 1 on 1” he wrote.
Followers and celebrity friends including Boity, Nandi Madida, K Naomi and more commented on the post with well wishes and applauded him for the bravery and vulnerability he has shown his fans. Big sister Khanyi Mbau also showed Lasizwe some love and shared a few words of encouragement.
Even though he has been winning career wise, Lasizwe has been going through a lot on the personal forefront including the death of his father. Lasizwe and Khanyi Mbau both mourned the passing of their Menzi Mcunu last year.
Lasizwe recently remembered his father on the anniversary of his passing with a lengthy message and a happy father and son video. The YouTuber shared his pain of being an orphan after loosing the last living parent. Dambuza shared how the reality of the situation has made him very emotional as living each day without a parent has been very painful to do.
Lasizwe has been making awesome career moves this year alone and he wishes that his parents were still around to witness his success and give him a pat on the back.
“FUCK, THIS IS PAINFUL!!! Today marks one year of your passing, One year of being an orphan and One year of constant pain of not having parents. I’m in tears typing this message as it is so painful living day to day without having parents… My biggest wish to hear my parents say “congratulations Thulasizwe, My child” he wrote.
