Lasizwe Responds To Backlash Over R2 Million Raised For University Students. Lasizwe and a few other celebs came together to help raise funds for university students who are struggling to pay their fees. The initiative which aimed to raise R1 million with the help of other businesses and celebrities who made very generous donations ended up making double the amount they were aiming for and managed to raise R2 million.
It’s now a few months later and social media users began to question the whereabouts of the funds, especially after many students who were chosen claimed that they had not received any money. Lasizwe and his associated responded to the buzz, claiming that the money was no longer with them but with an educational finance company called Fundi.
The YouTuber told the media that he would normally be upset at such allegations however, the YouTuber managed to maintain his composer as the public didn’t know what they were talking about. Dambuza also explained that all business who got involved had to undergo lengthy processes and protocols in order to donate the money.
“I though let me be, they don’t know what they’re talking about” he said.
Fundi claims to be continuing with the administrating, auditing and dismemberment of the funds and will continue to gave the public updates on the developments of the funds. The reality star has chosen to take the high road on social media after social media continued to drag him about the money in question.
He later poked fun at the situation and shared an article of his response pertaining to funds and t looks like the trolls had to eat a slice of humble pie because nothing shady is going on over there.
