Lalla Hirayama Opens Up About Her Struggle With Mental Health. The media personality recently came forward with her mental health battle on her socials.
Lalla recently took to her Instagram to get remarkably candid about being incredibly depersonalised. The 35 year-old added that she has been feeling like there is a disconnect between herself and her body, saying “I haven’t been myself lately. If you’ve been trying to get ahold of me and can’t- I’m sorry it hasn’t been an easy few months.”
Hirayama said that as a result of her mental health issues, she has been feeling like there isn’t going to be any possibility of a better outcome from her treatment. Adding that despite all of this, mental health professionals were committed in making sure that they accompany her in the journey of recovery in mental health.
“Struggling with my mental health and for the most part feeling pretty hopeless- and completely lost on how to process some of my darkest thoughts and feelings. My psychiatrist is holding my hand through it as well as my rock @rizziziousmar who hasn’t left my side. But this patch has been a rocky one,” she said.
In her attempts to deal with her mental health, Lalla revealed that spending time with nature had a positive impact on increasing her overall sense of well-being and is beneficial to her mental health. She had also taken part in some horse feeding activities in Stellenbosch that her partner, Ross took her to and ultimately leading to her owning a horse.
“On a whim Ross took me to Stellies for some time out and some fresh air. When I arrived all I wanted was an outride to feel some peace and freedom. Little did I know I’d be meeting my first ever horse I could call my own,” Lalla added.
She went on to thank, Ross and a few individuals for vastly improving her condition and helping her manage her mental health. Adding that she was grateful for equine therapy bearing positive results. “Equine therapy is incredible for mental issues and I’ve felt it’s benefits before but this has been quite a bit different. It’s like he just knew how broken I felt.To have the love and respect of such a powerful being is hard to put into words,” she wrote.
