Kid X was basically introduced into the music industry through K.O’s hit single Caracara and ever since then the guy has been making his own moves and stamping his name into the Hip Hop industry.
As we all know Kid X is a part of the oh so cool CashTime fam and we must say even though we really miss TearGas those boys are doing so much more in the Hip Hop space right now and we really thank them for moving from those days.
Speaking to Mo Flava on Metro FM recently Kid X opened up about working with legends like K.O and how he appreciates having the CashTime fam as mentors and how they’ve made his journey in the industry all worth it.
“I couldn’t have picked better mentors for my whole journey through music.”
“When I came into the industry in 2011 I was wet behind the ears and I didn’t know what was what. But they sort of ushered me in and their record speaks for themselves.”
“They have gone through all the things I’m going through right now so they in the best position to guide me and sort of keep me on the right path,” he tells Mo Flava.
Judging from his latest hit single Se7en featuring Nomuzi, Kid X definitely has a lot of fire to offer us and we really look forward to hearing his full debut album.
Even though the album has not been completed yet Kid X plans to release it right before his birthday and plans to feature more artists on his album like the likes of Zakwe and Duncan. Talk about a strong combination of lyricists.
“If all else fails I’ll drop it (my album) on my birthday. October 13.”
