Khumbul’ekhaya Makes A Return For Its 17th Season. The show hosted by veteran TV presenter, Andile Gaelisiwe, for the past sixteen seasons, returned to SABC 1 hosted by her again. The show dedicated to helping people look for their long, lost loved ones and reuniting them has fans excited.
The longtime show host, Andile posted an emotive trailer on her Instagram account. “ And we’re back, It’s 17 seasons later and we’re still reuniting our long-lost loved ones and in this season going even deeper Papa. Our longest-running asset still giving quality empathetic television, bettering the lives of South Africans. As for me, still feel so blessed to be part of this historic movement called #khumbulekhaya on @mzansi_fosho,” she wrote.
The first episode of season 17, which aired on SABC 1at 9PM, featured a young woman, Lindiwe Mbele who went on a quest for her father. Although getting to the place she thought her dad had been leaving at, she unfortunately did not meet him—as he had passed. Her biological dad’s family warmly welcomed her.
