Khosi Twala, the crowned winner of Big Brother Titans, has stepped forward to address concerns surrounding the receipt of her prize money amidst claims from former contestants about unpaid earnings. Khosi Twala emerged victorious as the inaugural champion of the debut season of Big Brother title in April 2023, along with the esteemed R 1.8 million grand prize.
The controversy erupted as Blessing “Nana” Basheru and Justin Peters voiced their grievances, alleging delays in receiving their weekly game prizes. Nana took to social media, hinting at potential legal action against brands for failing to fulfill their financial obligations. Meanwhile, Justin condemned what he perceived as unethical behaviour, criticising sponsors for prioritising new ventures over settling existing debts. In response to mounting speculation, Khosi Twala shared a screenshot of her bank statement to quell doubts about her prize money.
Clarifying the situation, she affirmed receiving her winnings within the stipulated timeframe outlined in her contract.”When I woke up this morning, I saw there was a back and forth about having received my money and all of that. When I didn’t receive my money, I was very outspoken about it, so I think it’s also fair that I make it clear,” Khosi stated in an interview with TshisaLIVE. As disputes over prize money linger, the aftermath of Big Brother Titans continues to unfold, shedding light on the complexities of reality TV contracts and financial commitments.
