Khanyi Mbau Opens Up About Being Bullied In School! Believe it or not but Khanyi Mbau was bullied back when she was still in school. The media personality reflected on how she was often labelled ‘white’ way before she looked like a white person.

Khanyi shared how she’d be made fun and got bullied of because her hair was relaxed and she spoke English well.

“I was always different because I went to a white school, so they used to call me Khanyi Mlungu because I spoke English. They would always say Khanyi Mlungu because I was the only one who wore a blazer and went to a proper school according to them,” she said.

“I was bothered a lot. My hair was relaxed, so most kids didn’t understand it. So all they wanted to do was run their hands through my silky hair. I was like a barbie doll in a way to them and some of them would lick me…literally, because they didn’t understand how I looked,” she said.
