Khanyi Mbau On Why She’s Not Friends With Bonang. One thing about the second season of ‘Young, Famous & African stars, they are honest and biting their tongues when it comes to expressing how they feel about each other.

From Nadia Nakai and Bonang making it clear there have no interest in rekindling their old friendship to Andile’s baby mamas making it clear they not each other’s biggest fans, it doesn’t get more candid like that but we’re here for all of it.

One duo fans of the show were waiting to watch interact is Bonang and Khanyi Mbau. Over the years, the larger than life personalities have been at times friendly and sometimes shady towards one another and it seems it’s still the same. When Bonang got introduced to the friends on the first episode of the Netflix hit reality show, Khanyi was not happy with Swanky Jerry bringing Bonang without telling Nadia considering Nadia was dating Bonang’s ex boyfriend, AKA.

Khanyi explained her own feelings about Bonang in her confessions session saying, “Me and Bonang aren’t friends. It’s literally industry. I’ve never quite understood her, so if I cannot figure you out, I create a distance because I can’t figure out who you are and that makes me uncomfortable,” Khanyi said.

Khanyi then hosted a dinner party and did not invite Bonang. “She slipped my mind, next time,” Khanyi said.

Following Bonang exit on the show after four episodes, Khanyi reacted saying, “This is a different space. When you walk into this family, we’re all kings and queens.”

She then weighed in during her diary session on why she thought Bonang left. “I think Bonang has walked into a room where everyone has achieved the most. But she’s never had friends that are on the same level as her. She’s always got people that are below her, that adore her, so it is going to be difficult to get to a space like this, cause here we don’t care who you are,” Khanyi said.
