South African actress Khanyi Mbau has once again captured the attention of social media, this time by sharing a candid video revealing her latest cosmetic surgery. Known for her unapologetic approach to beauty and self-expression, Mbau has opted for a more permanent solution to achieve the structured and tight look she desires.
Tired of the ongoing maintenance required by Botox and fillers, the star decided to undergo a blepharoplasty to remove excess skin from her eyelids and a subnasal lip lift to enhance her lips’ shape. In a video posted on her Instagram, just hours after her procedure, Mbau described her face as feeling “wrapped in cling wrap.” Despite the initial discomfort and swelling, she exuded excitement about the final results.
“So I am literally a few hours out of surgery. I think it’s been about four hours since surgery. I’ve only started getting my life back. As you can see I’m super swollen. I’m okay,” Mbau reassured her followers.
The actress shared a video of her swollen face with a bold caption, expressing her relief at finding a more lasting solution. “Now we bake, bought a new face.. I know, I know.. before we all lose it.. it’s still very fresh and super tight.. it will take a few weeks for it to cook.. I grew tired of Botox and fillers every three months now looking for a permanent solution to a structured tight face.”
Mbau also took the time to shout out her surgeon, Dr. Merve, and her personal nurse, Mert, for making the experience comfortable. “Big shout to Mert my personal nurse, you made this experience so comfortable,” she added.
In her post, Mbau humorously noted that she wouldn’t allow any comments on the video, citing her blurry vision as the reason. “WILL NOT ALLOW ANY COMMENTS BECAUSE I DON’T HAVE THE EYES TO READ, MY VISION IS BLURRY..”
