Khanyi Mbau has confirmed that she and her longtime boyfriend, Kudzai Mushonga, have ended their relationship. The actress and reality TV star shared the news with her followers on Instagram on Monday, explaining the reasons behind the split.
“He was a good guy, but he did some bad things,” Khanyi wrote in her post. “He tried everything he could to make it up to me. I did most of my grieving while we were together. I finally got the courage to leave. And of course I wish him the best.”
Khanyi added a message of gratitude in her caption: “Give everything time… I am grateful for the experience.”
The announcement came as a shock to many, with fans and friends reacting in disbelief. Reality TV star Inno Morolong commented, “I don’t believe this. Let’s hope it’s a publicity stunt or something. If not, I wish the best for u sis.” One follower expressed their disappointment, saying, “I was hoping for a wedding, not this yoh.”
Fashion model Cynthia Lowo also shared her support with a kind message: “Sending love and light to you darling.”
This breakup is not the first time Khanyi and Kudzai’s relationship has made headlines. Back in 2021, the couple’s relationship drama made waves when Khanyi left Kudzai in Dubai, causing a stir on social media. At the time, Kudzai posted about his heartbreak, revealing the tension that had led to the dramatic moment. He shared, “We got into an argument and babe is like ‘you don’t love me’ and it’s heated. I looked into her eyes and walked away and I’m learning now you should never walk away.”
Despite the challenges, Khanyi’s message shows that she’s choosing to move forward, while wishing Kudzai nothing but the best.
