Just weeks after announcing her breakup with partner Kudzai Mushonga, Netflix star Khanyi Mbau returned to social media to reveal that the couple had kissed and made up.
Earlier this month, Mbau took to Instagram to share that she had “finally found the courage” to end things with Mushonga. She explained that although he was a “good guy,” he had made mistakes that led her to walk away. “He was a good guy, but he did some bad things. He tried everything he could to make it up to me. I did most of my grieving while we were together,” Mbau wrote in a now-deleted post. “I finally found the courage to leave. And, of course, I wish him the best.”
However, on Monday, Mbau posted another update to her followers. This time, she shared that Mushonga had reached out, asking her to address their issues. “He called, demanded I address the bad things he did, and asked to attend the funeral that made me mourn. I cried… he listened. Now, I’m in the car he sent, headed home,” Mbau revealed.
She continued, “Don’t ask! He didn’t entertain my rubbish. We are adults!! (Listen, don’t judge.) Besides, where would I go with a thigh laminated in bold with his name!” Mbau’s playful comment suggests that despite their challenges, she and Mushonga have found a way to move forward.
It seems that after a brief separation, Mbau and Mushonga are working things out, proving that their relationship is far from over.
