Kgomotso Christopher Slams People Who Took Videos At AKA’s Private Funeral. The Forbes family had initially put out a press release, which stated that Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes would have a public memorial service—which was televised and he would be laid to rest in a private ceremony.

On the day of his burial videos from his private funeral made rounds on social media, which upset some of his fans including actress Kgomotso Christopher, she expressed how disappointed she was with the people who took photos and videos from the burial site and she was in agreement with other tweeps, who felt that the stand were disrespectful.

Some attendees at the late rapper’s funeral did not heed the family’s wishes of not publicising the burial proceedings, as the media too was not part of it. Kgomotso Christopher expressed her annoyance, tweeting, “What’s the definition of privacy or private funeral? If you’ve been trusted by a family to be part of a private funeral, why are you posting unofficial pictures publicly/on social media from your phone or reposting such content with empty platitudes as caption? Iphi inhlonipho.”

A slew of tweeps jumped in to call out the irreverent behaviour, including Themibisa Mdoda who said, “Blocking every single one of them”.

What's the definition of privacy or private funeral? If you've been trusted by a family to be part of a private funeral, why are you posting unofficial pictures publicly/on social media from your phone or reposting such content with empty platitudes as caption? Iphi inhlonipho💔?

I'm an African and I don't know a private funeral. That way I do not mean people should post pictures of the funeral, all I'm saying is….in African culture one doesn't need to be invited to a funeral.

Even if it was not private, why cameras and photos in funerals. It’s not a wedding moes!
