It’s become a norm and a known fact to all, where there is drama, there has to be Kelly Khumalo.
Kelly has spoken out about the assault claims made by her reported fiance and lover Zamokwakhe ‘Bhaka’ Nzama that took place over the weekend in Kelly’s hotel room at the Metro’s.
Bhaka claims that Kelly poked his left eye during an altercation between the two at the Elangeni Hotel. Bhaka told City Press that Kelly Khumalo told him to leave his wife for her if he’s serious about marrying her.
City Press had tried to reach out to Kelly via text messages and she didn’t respond, they then sent her an email on Monday morning and this is what Kelly had to say about the claims made by Bhaka:
“First and foremost, that man is not my partner. We just had a brief fling that turned sour.”
Kelly further denies ever asking Bhaka to leave his wife for her. ”I poked him by accident as I was trying to push him away from me. He was the one who attacked me when I asked him to leave the room and he refused,” she said.
It’s reported that Kelly ended her relation with Bhaka just last week when she found out about him seeing and sleeping with a number of women outside of their relationship.
“He came to my hotel to smooth things over by offering to borrow me his car for the Metro FM Awards,” she said.
Kelly says the altercation turned sour when she asked Bhaka to take his keys and leave her alone. Kelly continues to say that Bhaka gave her a compliment as she was putting on her make-up getting ready for the Awards ceremony . She says he told her that she “looked beautiful and different”.
“He tried to touch my bum and that didn’t sit well with me. I told him to leave me alone and he said I was rude,” she said.
Kelly says that she could see that Bhaka was not very comfortable with her looking so beautiful for the event.
“He started to be more violent and everyone was uncomfortable around him. He swore at me, and called my mother names. He pushed me against the wall and said he would shoot me and put me next to Senzo’s body,” she said.
Kelly says that poking Bhaka’s eye was a mistake that happened when she tried to push him away. “He knows I hate guns since Senzo’s death and he uses that to threaten me.”
Nzama and his bodyguards were asked to leave the premises.
“Earlier last week, I had told that man I don’t wanna see him anymore because I don’t even like him as a person,” said Khumalo. “I’m still in love with Senzo – I can’t pretend.”
“He tried to contact me but I have asked him to leave me alone as I have nothing to say to him or offer. The man is a publicity junky and would do anything to get publicity,” she said.
Kelly says that one can’t continue a relationship that never really started. “It was just a fling that got sour, that’s all… nothing significant,” she added.
On the lobola rumours Kelly said she can’t really comment on something she knows nothing about.
