The Daily Sun publication previously reported that Khumalo was paid R30 000 to perform at the South African Heroines Awards which aim to honour women and those living with a disability.
The ceremony took place in Bloemfontein however event organizer and founder of the awards Caroline Mosiamo, claims that the singer flaked on the performance although she was paid up front.
Mosiamo also mentioned that an additional R6 000 was allocated to alcohol and snacks on Kelly’s request. Apparently Kelly indeed arrived at the event however she refused to perform and sat in the car. The singer reportedly went back to the hotel without even making an appearance.
Caroline in now demanding the money back claiming that Khumalo‘s team are not prepared to refund the money even though she was asked to perform free at the next event to make up for the performance that was missed.

“ Kelly won’t pay the money back. There was a lack of communication from Carol’s side. We spent money travelling to Bloemfontein and did her a favour by giving her a discount. I will definitely not allow her to perform for free” Tsotetsi said.
khumalo and her team have made it clear that the money will not be refunded however, Carolina is threatening to seek legal action if the sum is not refunded by the singer.
