Actress, MC, and motivational speaker Kayise Ngqula has partnered with Dove, embracing a new chapter in her journey of self-love and empowerment. On Saturday, Kayise attended a Dove event, where she shared photos of herself alongside iconic actress Leleti Khumalo. Her announcement on social media revealed a deeply personal story that makes this partnership particularly meaningful.
In her emotional post, Kayise reflected on a life-altering moment from five years ago when she survived a near-fatal accident. She wrote:
“Had you told me that 5 years ago, when I was laying on the side of the road fighting for my life… that all of that would lead me to a moment when I get to share the journey of self-love & acceptance with an iconic brand… I wouldn’t have believed you!”
After undergoing emergency surgery to repair a ruptured bladder, Kayise woke up to a body transformed by trauma. Despite the physical and emotional scars, her resilience has brought her to a place where she now proudly shares her story with the world, embodying Dove’s message of real beauty and authenticity.
At the event, Kayise sat among powerful women, including Leleti Khumalo and Chantel Struwig, who shared their own journeys of overcoming adversity. She expressed her admiration for their courage, saying:
“I sat in awe as my beautiful sisters… narrated theirs and how loving their skin has created warriors out of them by turning their adversities to power whilst giving others the permission to do the same.”
Kayise’s partnership with Dove marks her as a leading voice in a campaign that seeks to redefine beauty standards and inspire self-acceptance. She is excited about the impact this movement will have on others, as she passionately concluded:
“I cannot wait to see how this movement will unravel to change lives and create impact.”
