Reality TV star Jojo Robinson from The Real Housewives of Durban has given fans a personal update on her husband’s recent cosmetic surgery—and it’s both sweet and informative.
Jojo took to social media to share before-and-after videos of her husband, whom she lovingly calls “Boo Bear,” following his eyebrow lift and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). She explained the procedure was done by her favourite plastic surgeon, Doctor Paul McGarr, and praised the results.
“BOO BEAR HAD A PRETTY face SURGERY.. LOL.. with my favourite and my personal plastic surgeon @drpaulmcgarr,” Jojo wrote. “He did an eyebrow lift and blepharoplasty 2 weeks ago. This is his healing in the first week.”
Jojo explained that while the surgery did enhance Boo Bear’s appearance, it wasn’t done just for looks. The procedure was actually necessary for medical reasons. “It was actually needed for his impaired vision due to years of being in the fighting ring,” she shared. “But ultimately, the surgery just made him cutesier anyway… like a cutie little bear with wide eyes.”
She added that the healing process was surprisingly easy. “He says he highly recommends this surgery should you need.. very little pain (Boo Bear said none) and next to no downtime. He even did it in the surgeon’s room so no anesthesia,” Jojo said. “Hope that helps… if your man’s eyes are droopy and stuff.. or even yours.. no one wants a droopy eye.”
Jojo also gave a shout-out to the surgeon, saying, “Dr McGarr I stan.. the best surgeon in South Africa. Boo Bear has approved posting this video.”
This wasn’t the first time Boo Bear had cosmetic surgery. Back in 2023, Jojo revealed on Real Housewives of Durban that he had a facial tightening procedure.
A week ago she first shared about her husband’s surgery. Jojo explained how the surgery helped with more than just appearance. “Before, you couldn’t even see Boo Bear’s lashes. His lashes were actually going into his eyes, scratching and hurting him,” she said.
Now healing well, Boo Bear is thrilled with the results. “I can’t believe how much more I can see now. It’s like the picture frame got bigger all of a sudden,” he shared.
