Is Kgomotso Christopher Returning To ETv’s ‘Scandal’? Many avid and enthused viewers of the soapie have been wandering whether Kgomotso who portrayed the role of YV, Tibi’s mother in the much-loved Etv drama series is making a comeback. This comes after Litlhohonolofatso Lithlakanyane is set to return for his much loved character portrayal of Tebello ‘Tibi’.

Kgomotso’ role as Yvonne(YV), Litlhohonolofatso-Tibi’s mother figure had many fans in love and hooked with the storyline. The pair had played their roles impeccably, often involving them having fun together and also YV coming to Tibi’s rescue when he found himself in trouble. One memorable scene, is of Tibi’s biological mother resurfacing and requesting his son back from YV, to which little Tibi wasn’t happy about and opted to live with her because of the relationship they had built.

Christopher’s role as YV in the drama series even earned her a South African Film And Television Award(SAFTA). Her first win after two nominations. “Like the past two nominations I have had, I have had no expectations. I am savouring the moment,” she said excitedly after winning.

Kgomotso’s portrayal of Yvonne Langa came to and end in 2020 after playing the fan favourite character for four years. The show’s producers had even said that her departure was temporary and not permanent as many characters had been brought back to the soapie.

Recently, Scandal! announced that Tibi is making a comeback. His storyline will be more different as it will involve him getting a girlfriend. Tibi’s comeback has since drawn attention to YV with many Scandal! lovers yearning for her return. Other tweeps even said that since her character wasn’t killed off it was possible that she could be coming back. Some of her responses to some tweeps have left room for confusion wondering whether she will be back on the much loved soapie.

Responding to a question by an entertainment reporter, on whether she will be returning, Kgomotso responded, tweeting, “You know if I knew, I’d tell you. I’m sure they filmed the block long ago even though the story is airing now…Maybe next time. Can’t wait to watch. I know people are so looking forward to the storyline.”
