In a heartbreaking turn of events, South African musician Shebeshxt is set to attend his daughter’s funeral this Saturday, despite currently being hospitalised. According to TshisaLIVE, family spokesperson James Magoro shared the latest developments, revealing that Shebeshxt recently underwent surgery on his leg and shoulder.

“He is still in hospital but he will attend the funeral. We are looking to maybe have people from the hospital assist in bringing him to the funeral and then take him back to the hospital to recover,” Magoro explained. “He still needs to fully recover. He had dislocations. One leg they put steel in and [fitted] a moon boot. The leg is OK. He can step with both [legs].”

The tragic circumstances have left the family reeling, as they prepare to lay Shebeshxt’s daughter to rest in Lebowakgomo, Limpopo. Magoro shared that although the family has not spoken to Shebeshxt about his daughter’s death, he is aware she did not survive the accident.

“We can’t talk to him about his loss because we understand, but he can see his child is not around any more and his partner got hurt. He asked about Kholo’s whereabouts but did not ask about the child because he knows the child did not make it,” Magoro said.

The community rallies around Shebeshxt, offering support during this unimaginable time, as he finds the strength to honour his daughter’s memory.
