Social media influencer Mihlali Ndamase and businessman Leeroy Sidambe are reportedly back together after their tumultuous breakup last year, which was marred by allegations of financial woes, infidelity, and physical altercations. This news comes from an exclusive report by ZiMoja.
The couple’s initial split was anything but quiet. Mihlali openly criticised Leeroy on social media, exposing how she had been financially supporting their trips together. Her frustration peaked when a video surfaced showing Leeroy in Dubai, surrounded by women and kissing one of them. “Don’t post in Dubai like your bosses when you owe me money. Talking about catching flights and not feelings, who was coughing up money in Mexico when your card was declining? Lol. Don’t try me,” Mihlali posted. She declared, “It’s been chai, my angels. I left that person in October. Ndine peace (I have peace).”
Further revelations painted a darker picture of their relationship, with reports of physical altercations, one of which allegedly left Mihlali with a sprained ankle. Despite these troubling events, a close friend of the couple confirmed to ZiMoja that they have reconciled. “It was bound to happen,” he said. “But they want to do better. They have been back together for some time but have been keeping it a secret.” The friend added that their reconciliation began at a mutual friend’s gathering, where they initially just talked but soon decided to give their relationship another chance. “Mihlali wants to keep it very private,” the friend noted. In May, Leeroy had denied rumours of their reunion.
Mihlali and Leeroy’s relationship has always been under intense public scrutiny, particularly because Mihlali was accused of starting their romance while Leeroy was still married to his estranged wife, Mary Jane Sidambe. Addressing this in a Showmax interview on Unfollowed, Mihlali was unapologetic. “Oh! no, darling. It’s not my place to wait. I’m not the one who is married,” she said. “It is he who decided that he wants to find a partner and date someone.” She also dismissed accusations of being a gold digger, stating, “I’ve got my own money! Are you mad? There are a lot of men with money in the world. But do they respect women?”
Leeroy, on the other hand, has been facing financial difficulties with his business, Black Industrials Africa Group, struggling to pay his staff. Both Mihlali and Leeroy’s representatives have declined to comment on their personal lives, with Leeroy saying, “I’d like to pass on the comment.”
As Mihlali and Leeroy navigate their rekindled relationship, only time will tell if they can overcome their past challenges and build a more stable future together.
