About a week ago Kelly Khumalo was interviewed on 3Talk and denied any claims of dating or being in a serious relationship with Zamokwakhe “Bhaka” Nzima.
This week a different story arises Kelly Khumalo is getting married! Yes, you read right Kelly Khumalo will be getting married people.
We guess fourth times lucky?
Zamokwakhe “Bhaka” Nzima a herbalist from Durban is reported to have paid half of his lobola for Kelly. Bhaka sent a delegation of elders to pay lobola for Kelly Khumalo two weeks ago. (Two weeks ago Kelly was seen wearing a ring on her engagement finger and told everyone to mind their own business)
We all know that when it comes to love Kelly has not always been lucky, specially with her last relationship with Senzo Meyiwa being shot dead in Kelly’s home.
She also dated Jub Jub who was later sent to prison for murder.
Her relationship with Prosper Mkwaiwa did not last long either.
And now Miss Kelly seems to have scored big with her fourth famous love affair set to end in marriage.
Sunday Sun reports that Bhaka sent elders from his family to Kelly’s family in KZN where he paid the first installment of his lobola for the singer.
A source close to Kelly and her family told Sunday Sun that the ceremony was a beautiful private family affair.
“Kelly looked beaming in her traditional regalia,” the source continued.
The source then continued to tell Sun that the second part of the installment is set to be paid in March.
“The two families get along and love each other. I don’t know where all these negative reports that they hate each other are coming from,” said the source.
Sunday Sun took it a step further and spoke to Bhaka’s father, Nzama,confirmed that he has nothing against Kelly Khumalo.
“Whatever Bhaka does, we support him. He is a respectful child, he supports me financially, I have nothing against MaKhumalo (Kelly),” says Nzama.
Kelly told Noeleen that she met Bhaka earlier this year when she was contacted by one of his business associates to discuss a cultural music tour. By the way we are in the second month of the year so what exactly does Kelly mean by earlier this year? Are they getting married after 2 months of knowing each other?
“Kelly is not ashamed of her heritage, so when they started seeing each other, none of us were surprised,” said the source.
The source then continued to add that Bhaka’s engagement to Kelly was done in a traditional way, he told her he loves her and that he would like to send elders to her home to ask for her hand in marriage.
Sun then called for comment Kelly confirmed that Bhaka did indeed send elders to her home, but refused to talk about it further.
“Can I be left alone? This matter is private and I would like it to remain that way,” said Kelly.
