Popular DJ and music producer Prince Kaybee, whose real name is Kabelo Motsamai, has shared a deeply personal and emotional message with fans about his struggles with memory loss.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Prince Kaybee opened up about how serious the situation has become, admitting that it’s affecting his emotions, his confidence, and even his future.

“I suffer from SERIOUS AMNESIA and I am a bit emotional and frustrated at how my memory is deteriorating, man,” he wrote. “I am scared this will lead to missing life opportunities which will make me very incompetent, and I HATE THAT.”

He also revealed that medical professionals have told him he has an underlying condition affecting his brain. “I wonder how long I can keep what is left of my memory bank,” he added. “Not gonna lie, this is rocking me, man. I have kids to raise.”

He ended the post with a heartbreaking message: “Man I’m so scared, it’s really rocking me .”

His post quickly drew attention and support from fans, fellow artists, and others who have experienced similar challenges. Many thanked him for speaking so honestly and shared their own experiences with memory loss.

One follower, @Joyndlovu_S, commented: “I  also suffer from memory loss, it worries me too. I can’t remember things I did the day before or early in the day. How am I supposed to do life when it’s like this?”

Another follower, @UncleSbu07, offered helpful advice: “Please talk to both a health practitioner and a therapist to get help or information on both sides, as it could be related to health reasons or depression, etc. All the best and sorry, man. Don’t stress more, as it could be bad for your memory loss.”

Others encouraged him to take better care of himself and not give up. @SirBrayneZA wrote: “Damn bro! Fight differently and keep fighting mate! Truth is there’s so much to do every day but with less time spent on yourself. I suggest you find ways to invest in unwinding, when last did Kaybee spend quality time with Kaybee?”

@SukudeShiceka added a powerful message of hope: “Chin up, shoulders straight!! God has made you fortunate enough to keep seeking viable medical assistance. Don’t let your condition take anymore than it has from you!! Ilwa… fight my brother!!”

Prince Kaybee’s honest post opened up an important conversation about mental health and the fears that come with invisible illnesses. Fans praised his vulnerability and hoped he finds the support and strength he needs to manage his condition — and keep inspiring through his music and story.
