It’s a character people! Generations: The Legacy’s Letoya Makhene was forced to defend her life as a real life Sangoma after her controversial character on the popular soapie started practicing witchcraft.
It seems the viewers can’t seperate her character who’s using witchraft to protect her family and Letoya, a real life Sangoma. “I am a healer. A child of the gods. The stories I tell on Generations are in no way a reflection of my views, but I will tell them to the best of my ability”, she told Move Magazine.
The actress says her character Tshidi is practicing witchraft, despite the reasons that it’s to protect her family and it’s something she (Letoya) doesn’t want to be associated with.
“Witchcraft is a negative space and I refuse to put myself in it”, she said.
