Is us or does it seem like our local artists are always involved in these little money feuds? Last time it was Doctor Maling vs Cassper Nyovest and now it’s DJ Shimza vs a business.
It’s been reported that Shimza failed to pay local businessman Sello Semenya for services rendered.
Apparently Sello provided most of the lighting that was used at the food stalls at the DJ’s one man show last year and a DJ battle that was held in May this year.
The young entrepreneur told Daily Sun that he had a verbal agreement with Shimza for R8000 for the one man show.
“I later agreed to do the DJ battle in April and charged R3500, which hasn’t been paid either,” he added.
DJ Shimza quickly slammed all the allegations and says that he paid Sello his R600 months ago.
“I thought I was doing something nice for a guy from ekasi. I don’t understand how a person can charge that much when he’s not providing stage lights. His lights are small household bulbs. We didn’t even get invoices from him. So I don’t know where he’s getting his numbers from,” he added.
Shimza has since said he plans to open a case of defamation against Sello for all his ‘bizarre’ claims.
