Now most days it’s the young guys that are against weaves because that means they have to give their girls a weave allowance and honestly, that Brazilian is quite expensive.
It looks like someone else is against weaves but we still don’t get why.
While performing at Eyadini in Durban, bra Hugh Masekela reportedly asked the security guards to keep all women in weaves and extensions away from him. Mjay Zama, who owns the venue confirmed to Sowetan that Bra Hugh did indeed have a number of bouncers.
“Usually we provide bouncers for any musicians performing in our area. But Bra Hugh appealed for more bouncers to protect him from women with weaves.”
Nomusa Khuboni, who attended the event reveals that bra Hugh was quite rude: “He [Hugh] was condescending. What concerns him if we wear weaves [and] take pictures with him?” She then adds that a friend of hers was really excited to take a picture with the legend but refused and said he doesn’t take pics with girls that have weaves.
The paper reports that Hugh denies having any bouncers to protect him from weaved girls. “Why would I want to be protected? I can protect myself from these women? As someone who runs a foundation that seeks to restore culture and identity, I refused to take photos with people with weaves. And I tell them that myself.”
Well then there you have it, if you want a picture with Hugh, go natural!
