Rapper Cassper Nyovest is insisting on performing in Zimbabwe despite the threats he has been receiving, and has even gone as far as promising a free show in the country. Taking to social media to pass on his message, the rapper spoke about how disgusted he is about the xenophobic attacks that are currently happening in the country.
“What’s happening here at home is mad disgusting but I am coming to Zimbabwe. I will not live in fear to be in the hands of my brothers,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
This follows threats from Zimbabwe, in which the rapper was told to reconsider his trip to the country while South Africa is attacking their brothers and sisters.
The post read: “Dear Cassper Nyovest, tell your people to stop xenophobia or you’re not welcome! Yours Zimbabwe.”
Responding to the post Cassper said: “My Zimbabwean fans are gonna come to my show. We are one AFRICA therefore we will dance together. I will come perform for my brothers. Thank you.”
And the ‘Doc Shebeleza’ hitmaker has now promised to donate all proceeds from the Zimbabwe show to those affected by Xenophobia.
“Actually I want to donate all my proceeds for my show in Zimbabwe next week to Xenophobia Survivors. I will come perform for free,” Cassper wrote.
