South African influencer and media personality Faith Nketsi recently took to Instagram to express her frustration and deep concern over fake social media accounts using pictures of her daughter. A TikTok account with over 60,000 followers and a YouTube channel have both been found posting content featuring her child — all without her consent.

Faith, who is known for sharing beautiful and heartfelt moments on her official Instagram page, such as birthday celebrations, baking cupcakes, and fun vacations with her daughter, made it clear that she never created or approved any social media accounts for her child.

In her emotional message to fans and followers, she wrote, “Hi guys. Please help me report this account on TikTok and Instagram. I don’t have a social media account for my daughter and I will never have. This page is just so unsettling for me. I wanted to ignore it but I can’t. I hope we can gather as an internet family and get this account taken down. Thank you in advance.”

Faith also warned her followers about a fake YouTube channel and Instagram account, saying, “This person has also opened a YouTube channel and Instagram page. Please report. Thank you.”

Many of her followers responded with supportive comments. One user wrote, “Your child has a celeb of a mom…you must see how many Kim Kardashian kids have fake accounts. It comes with being well known. Even if that one shuts down, there will be many more to follow. I guess the solution is best you open an account for her to avoid all this.”

To this, Faith replied, “I understand that but for now let’s block this account. I’m going to stop posting Sky at some point so there won’t be content to post. For now let’s report this account. Thank you in advance.”

Support continued to pour in, with another follower saying, “The same person has created a YouTube and Instagram account as well. Hope you manage to get this sorted mommy, we’ll report the accounts as best as we can.”

However, not all comments were hopeful. Some followers expressed concern about how difficult it is to stop fake accounts online. One said, “They won’t take them down, that’s the sad part. They will say there’s no violation. Copyright your material of your child so that when it gets uploaded or reuploaded they are met with a violation of copyright… Either than that you’re just fighting a losing battle mama. Good luck.”

Another added, “I just think it’s going to be hard to monitor a whole internet and the pages they make about your child since you’re a public figure and you do share those moments… You can however still keep on reporting the pages but there’s only so much that can be done.”

Despite the challenges, Faith Nketsi remains determined to protect her daughter’s privacy and is calling on her fans and social media community to help her shut down the impersonating accounts.
