TV personality Hulisani opens up about being teased for her freckles and learning to accept them. In a touching Instagram post, Hulisani shared her journey to accepting and loving herself the way she is and how that taught her lessons in other parts of her life.
“When I was in primary school, I was teased for my freckles. I made my mother take me from Doctor to Doctor wanting to get them removed. When I was in high school, I was told they were unique. Only then did I start accepting them and loving them,” she shared.
Hulisani says she only realized it now that that was a lesson in choosing which frequency of the universe a person is going to dial into. “Positivity and negativity are always surrounding you, you’re just turning one knob louder than the other. By choice. Love yourself, from the inside out, by choice. ❤️”
She finished off by quoting one of Indie Arie’s lyrics, “#EveryFreckleOnMyFaceIsWhereItsSupposedToBe #ThankYouIndiaArie.”
