Rebelle Management South Africa has proudly announced the signing of actress, presenter, and sportscaster Hope Mbhele. Known as the “Zulu girl with some power,” Mbhele has officially joined the agency’s Film & TV division. She now shares the spotlight with fellow stars such as Lunathi Mampofu, Thando Thabethe, and Bohang Moeko, further strengthening Rebelle’s reputation as home to some of Africa’s top talent.
Mbhele has already proven herself as one of the most dynamic voices and faces in South Africa’s entertainment industry. Her first leading role came in the Showmax movie No Love Lost, where she showed her depth as an actress and received praise for her strong performance. She later made waves with her appearances in some of the country’s biggest television productions, including Shaka: iLembe, Umkhokha, Goodbye Gogo, uThando Lwethu on Netflix, and the long-running soapie Uzalo on SABC 1. Each role highlighted her range, allowing her to transform seamlessly from one character to the next.
But Mbhele’s career doesn’t stop with acting. She has become a trusted voice and personality off-screen too. Over the years, she has hosted major events such as the South African Music Awards (SAMAs), the DStv M-VCA Awards, and the KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng Sports Awards. Her charm, professionalism, and energy on stage have made her one of the most reliable hosts for prestigious occasions. On radio, she has graced the airwaves of both Gagasi FM and Metro FM, where she connected with listeners and built a loyal following across the country.
Speaking about her new partnership with Rebelle Management, Mbhele said:
“Joining Rebelle Management is an exciting next step for me. This partnership gives me the platform to grow creatively and professionally, and to explore new opportunities in acting, broadcasting, and media. I look forward to connecting with audiences across South Africa and the continent in even more meaningful ways. What makes this moment even more special is joining a woman-led agency during Women’s Month. It feels powerful to stand with women who are leading, creating in, and shaping the industry.”
Tanisha Colon-Bibb, the founder of Rebelle Management, shared her excitement about the signing. She said:
“Hope is a remarkable talent. Her career reflects a rare combination of versatility, professionalism, and relatability. She’s equally at home in front of a camera or a live audience, and her range across acting, broadcasting, and hosting makes her a unique asset to our Film & TV division.”
Colon-Bibb went on to highlight what makes Mbhele truly special, adding:
“Beyond her impressive portfolio, what stands out is Hope’s ability to resonate with audiences across the country. She’s a true role model and a trailblazer, and we are excited to support her as she expands her presence across South Africa and the continent.”
