Here’s Why One Of Gomora’s Leading Actors Is Reportedly Leaving The Show. Sad news for Gomora Mzansi fans as reports that one of the leading actors on the hit series is leaving. Zolisa Xaluva who plays the role of Melusi has reportedly ditched the show, according to Sunday World.
According to the publication, Zolisa is leaving Gomora following a disagreement with the show’s producers. He reportedly has decided to leave and pursue other opportunities. An unnamed source from the show told Sunday World how the actor’s alleged attitude rubbed the bosses the wrong way saying, “Producers have been trying to get rid of him, but MultiChoice refused to let him go, but eventually got the go-ahead. He is a brilliant actor, but there are things producers can’t tolerate.”
Zolisa’s exit was confirmed by Gomora publicist Linda Matsolo who said his character will soon be off the show. The actor himself is yet to make a statement on his exit.
This comes a few days after news broke that the telenovela has been renewed for a third season. It is also currently DSTV’s number one show with just over a million viewership on its peak episode in March. Will they be able to maintain the viewership and number one spot without the fan favorite Zolisa?
