Here’s Why Anele Mdoda Is Taking A Break From Radio. Anele Mdoda’s is one of Mzansi’s top rated, most awarded and loved radio personalities and her Breakfast show on 947 always makes the trending list every weekday on social media. Whilst we’re used to radio personalities taking long leaves, this one might be the longest we’ve heard but it’s all for the good of radio.

Anele will be taking a two months break from radio. According to the station, she will be traveling across the globe to get new inspirations for her show. Mdoda will be participating in a series of dynamic Global Master-Classes in various countries over the next few weeks which the station says will “enable her to reimagine 947’s Anele and the Club breakfast show, whereby she will be exploring new and emerging broadcasting and entertainment trends plus interrogating global best practices that will invigorate the show on her return.”

“@Anele is taking a break from radio… She is not abandoning us. She is traveling so she can sample the latest innovations in broadcasting for the benefit of the breakfast show. No worries… Anele will be back on-air in July,” 947 announced on Tuesday.

Anele’s return on air will be on the 1st of July 2022.

Thando Thabethe will stand in for Anele, joined by the rest of Anele’s squad which includes Frankie, Thembekile and Cindy. Zweli will take on Thando’s Afternoon Drive and newcomer Anathi Seyisi will host Nights on 947.
