Gogo Maweni, the popular sangoma and reality TV star, has given fans an intimate glimpse into her preparations for motherhood with her husband, Sabelo Mgube. According to TshisaLIVE, Maweni, whose real name is Makhotso Lee-Anne Mofokeng, already has three children from previous relationships, including her firstborn son with an unnamed American man, a second son with actor Sthembiso Khoza, and another with former soccer star Siyabonga Zulu.

Recently, it was revealed that Maweni is expecting twins. She shared a touching moment with her followers during her latest antenatal care visit, where she played the recorded sounds of both babies’ heartbeats. “The best Valentine’s gift ever, Sabelo,” she captioned the heartwarming post.

In a previous interview with TshisaLIVE, Maweni opened up about the couple’s journey to expand their family, revealing that they had been trying for a child through in vitro fertilisation (IVF). IVF, as explained by the Mayo Clinic, is a series of procedures designed to assist with fertility and help prevent genetic problems.

Maweni also shared the emotional challenges she has faced, including multiple miscarriages. “We’ve been trying and haven’t been getting it right. It’s been a lot of tries. We had two embryos but lost one. So now we have this one growing, and I just want to keep it to myself with no noise and no drama. I want the baby to grow,” she said.
