Fujifilm South Africa announces intuitive X-T30 III mirrorless camera

Fujifilm South Africa has introduced the X-T30 III, the latest addition to its popular X Series mirrorless cameras and the successor to the 2021 X-T30 II. Like its predecessor, the X-T30 III combines exceptional image quality with a compact, lightweight design, weighing just 378g, and featuring the classic centre-viewfinder layout.

At its core is the trusted 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor, paired with the high-speed X-Processor 5—the same engine used in the flagship X-T5. This combination delivers roughly twice the processing speed of the previous model and features advanced subject detection autofocus, allowing for worry-free, high-quality shooting.

A notable addition is the Film Simulation dial on the top-left side, seen in models like the X-T50 and X-M5. Photographers can switch between 20 Film Simulation modes, including “REALA ACE” for faithful color reproduction and “NOSTALGIC Neg.” for vibrant, soft-toned images. The dial also has FS1 to FS3 positions, where users can save custom “FS recipes” for creative flexibility.

For videographers, the X-T30 III offers 6.2K/30P video in 4:2:2 10-bit, 4K/60P recording, and high-frame-rate 1080/240P shooting. A 9:16 Short Movie Mode is ideal for social media content, while electronic image stabilizationensures smooth footage even when moving.

Popular features from previous models, such as the pop-up flash and AUTO shooting mode switch lever, remain. In AUTO mode, the camera detects and tracks subjects automatically, letting users focus on composition rather than technical settings.

Designed for both beginners and serious photographers, the X-T30 III delivers an intuitive and enjoyable shooting experience.

The Fujifilm X-T30 III will launch in South Africa on 6 December 2025 with a recommended retail price of R19,560 incl. VAT. The X-T30 III kit, including the new XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 lens, will be available in the second week of December 2025 for R23,000.

Introducing the New Fujinon XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS Lens

Fujifilm has also unveiled the XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS lens, covering a versatile 13–33mm focal range (equivalent to 20–50mm in 35mm format). Despite this coverage, it is Fujinon’s smallest and lightest zoom lens, measuring just 37.5mm and weighing only 125g. Paired with the X-T30 III, it provides wide-angle versatility while maintaining the camera’s lightweight portability.

The XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS will be available in South Africa in January 2026, priced at R8,280 incl. VAT.
