Former Skeem Saam Actress Pearl ‘Sonti’ Maimela Reaches Mrs SA Pageant Semi-Finals. The actress is known for portraying the role of Sonti Magongwa on SABC 1’s prime time soapie, Skeem Saam. The star recently took to her socials to share the delightful news of her reaching the second last step of possibly becoming Mrs South Africa.
The Mrs South Africa pageantry prides itself in being a vehicle for giving married women from different social, racial and cultural backgrounds their flowers for all different types of work they have done or intend to do. Being part of the pageantry, Pearl has felt that she is in a whole different world where she is becoming more self aware and finding out more about herself. Speaking to TshisaLive about how she felt about being part of the pageant, Pearl said, “This can only be the work of God in His fullness. It’s almost as if something was pulling me to do it. I concluded this has to be God.”
Her husband, Nikolic has been one of her support system and has given her all of his blessings and best wishes into making sure that she emerges victorious in the Mrs SA pageant. The actress took to her Instagram account to break the news of the milestone, she wrote, “And here we are 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👑 Mrs South Africa Semi-Finalist 2023.”
