Former Gomora actor and musician Sicelo Buthelezi, better known as Seekay, is entering an exciting new chapter in his life. Reported by ZiMoja, the 25-year-old and his partner are expecting their first child together, and to mark the occasion, the couple recently hosted a small, intimate baby shower with close friends.
A friend close to the couple shared that Seekay is embracing his new role as a father wholeheartedly. “He has committed himself to the new role of fatherhood and can’t wait to make his partner a wife,” the friend revealed. “But he is very secretive and wants to keep his personal life separate from his work. He proposed to the mother-to-be and wears the ring; he is ready to take the next step.”
Seekay confirmed the joyful news but remained tight-lipped about his partner, choosing to keep details private for now. “I’m excited, everyone knows. I don’t want to share too much too soon,” he told ZiMoja.
The actor-musician first gained widespread recognition for his role as a high school student in Gomora and has since gone on to take roles in shows such as Now or Never, Skeem Saam, and his most recent project, Isitha. Alongside his acting career, Seekay has built a successful music career, balancing both passions. “I can never choose between the two; I love acting—I get to be someone else. Music allows me to be myself,” he explained.
