Former Generations Actress Rosie Motene Details The Steps She Is Using For Recovery Of Covid-19. Former soapie actress turned writer, activist and public speaker Rosie Motene has shared the sad news of her and her husbands diagnosis with the Coronavirus on her Instagram but thankfully is slowly recovering each day.

“We are doing well, feeling healthier and more confident but still taking the necessary meds, vitamin C and D and zinc, an hour of direct sunlight, rest and faith!” wrote Motene.

Rosie took to twitter in a thread to share her journey to recovery in a detailed ten step regime recommended by her doctor on how to help aid the symptoms of the Coronavirus.

At the top of her list is the use of Eucalyptus rubs in steam and sleeping on your stomach whilst applying the rub on your chest and back to assist with your lungs.

“Tight chest- steam twice a day with Vick’s and eucalyptus oil. Cover with a heavy blanket – 15 mins” Motone wrote.

Rosie also listed what to use in the case of relieving a tight chest.

“Tight chest- along with ACC which helps with cough another remedy is warm milk and garlic and chew the garlic – gargle three times a day with salt water – boil garlic, ginger, lemon and honey 2. Head ache- sinutab 3. Body aches and pains- panado sachets and linctagon” Motene said.

Although difficult, mobility and exercise for the body and lungs such as blowing balloons into water with a straw is important to allow more oxygen into your body and sitting in the sun for about an hour for some vitamin D.

“Mobility is important last week wasn’t easy but this week I do about 20 minutes of moderate exercise. My partner does a little more as they don’t have a cough or chest tightness. Plus breathing exercise like blowing up a balloon or blowing into water with a straw“

“I sit in direct sunlight from around 10 to 11, with sunscreen” Motene added.

5. Vitamin d- we couldn’t find any and I’m fortunate to have a well lit living room so I sit in direct sunlight from around 10 to 11, with sunscreen.

Steps six through to eight consist of including a lot of zinc in to your diet, only eating warm foods and including vitamin C supplements or fruits such as citrus into your diet as well.

“6. Zinc- we couldn’t find so we replaced it with food containing high concentrates 7. Only eat warm foods. 8. Vitamin c- 1000 mg effervescent plus 3 to 5 oranges a day“

Last but not least a lot of recuperation time is important to allow your body to build up strength and it is important to keep a positive mind and letting the emotions take their coarse because you will be okay in the end.

“9. Rest rest and rest 10. Emotions- process whatever comes your way. We have gone from crying, being bitter and angry to petrified to trying to dance to old R&B” Rosie mentioned.
