Forbes Family Explain Why DJ Zinhle’s Husband Bongani Will Not Be In Attendance At AKA’s Funeral And Memorial Service. The late rapper’s family has issued out a press release saying that Zinhle’s husband will not be attending the funeral and memorial citing cultural observations.
Taking to Twitter, the Forbes family released a press release expressing gratitude for the love that has been coming through from all corners. The statement also detailed the logistics of the funeral. “We as the Forbes family would like to acknowledge the outpouring of love we have received over the past few days, Kiernan wasn’t just loved by us a family, but by the nation, as we’ve seen from loved ones, friends, industry colleagues, media tributes and the magacy,” the release read. It also goes on to read, “We’d also like to acknowledge our extended family, the Mahosanas for their unwavering support during this time, as Bongani Mahosana will be in absentia at the memorial and funeral due to observing cultural protocol.”
