It was a night filled with glamour, music, and heartfelt moments as Focalistic celebrated his 29th birthday in true celebrity style. The amapiano star, whose real name is Lethabo Sebetso, turned 29 on Monday, 26 May — but the real party came a few days later, on Wednesday, 28 May, when his friends surprised him with a suit-and-tie-themed birthday celebration.
According to Daily Sun, the surprise party brought together some of Mzansi’s biggest stars, including DJ Maphorisa, Pabi Cooper, Scotts Maphuma, Ayanda MVP, Anele Zondo, and Nomuzi Mabena. Everyone came dressed to impress, adding even more sparkle to the already glitzy night.
Focalistic, also known as the Ka Lekeke hitmaker, was filled with emotion as he walked into the party. Speaking to Daily Sun, he shared how grateful he was for the love he received.
“I’m happy and can’t believe so many came out for me. It just shows that the biggest currency is love. I was so happy, especially when I saw my sister. I think I shed a tear,” he said.
He didn’t forget to thank everyone who made the night special: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Everyone who pulled up, I hope that I show you the love that you showed me.”
The love didn’t stop there. Fellow artists and industry friends shared their birthday wishes and praises for Focalistic with Daily Sun.
Amapiano star Pabi Cooper said: “President ya Straata, keep inspiring us and continue being a kind person. We love you and I love you so much, you get me?”
Musician Tebogo C Mashego added: “Happy birthday, dog, more hits.”
Rapper and media personality Nomuzi Mabena shared: “Happy birthday, Focalistic. We love you so much, and it’s so amazing that we finally get to have a moment where we celebrate you because your sounds have been the anthem for all of our celebrations. You are amazing, and may God continue to bless you. Keep flying the flag high.”
To wrap it all up, amapiano artist Scotts Maphuma said: “We wish you nothing but the best, my dog. More music, more life, and more money.”
