Radio presenter and comedian Felix Hlophe is dealing with heartbreak following the end of his relationship with Ayanda Bhengu, whom he had planned to make his second wife.
According to IOL, a leaked conversation between the former couple revealed that Bhengu no longer wanted to proceed with their relationship. During a heated exchange, Hlophe accused Bhengu of infidelity, saying: “You’re behaving like a cheating woman. Like you’re juggling two guys. Something tells me you didn’t even sleep at home last night.”
The argument escalated, leading Hlophe to ask if he should cancel the lobola process. Bhengu responded, “Yes,” adding, “My peace and sanity comes first.”
Hlophe eventually agreed to part ways and suggested that Bhengu inform their families. “I’ve decided to do the same and also move on with my life. I don’t think you’re a bad person. I just feel like this relationship has drained you so much and you have no love to give anymore. I recognise my part in it. I hope you recognise your part in it too. Too much involvement of your mother and ill advice she gave. I’ll always love you,” said Hlophe.
The drama unfolded further on Sunday, November 24, when Hlophe celebrated his sixth wedding anniversary with his first wife, Tracy Smith. On the same day, Bhengu took to Instagram stories to vent her frustration, asking her followers to tell Hlophe and Smith to leave her alone.
“Manibona uFelix Hlophe nimtshele ahlukane nami bakithi [when you see Felix Hlophe, please tell him to leave me alone]. I’ve honestly had it and am trying to stay sane for the sake of my kids ngoba [because] I’m all they have,” she wrote. Bhengu also claimed she returned a car to Hlophe and warned him not to visit her workplace, threatening to involve security.
