EFF Celebs Brag Over Receiving The EFF Relief Fund. It looks like the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) are all about keeping their word as they have given their day one celebrity supporters the first payment of the relief fund.
The relief fund has been allocated to aid the entertainment industry to ease the tension during the pandemic.
EFF president, Julius Malema had mentioned in his speech recently that they have taken it in to their own hands to financially support all the artists who have been riding with the political party from the beginning of time.
Malema also stated in the address that they were well aware of the strain that our local entertainment industry was facing and that a plan of action to help those affected would be implemented for those who have been supporting the EFF at all their rally’s and events.
“We are aware the crisis brought by Covid-19 will affect artists and entertainers the most as the majority of these people depend on festivals and events to make a living. Because of the necessity for social distancing, it is clear we will not see concerts, parties, weddings, festivals and other gatherings through which they make a living.”
“All musicians and entertainers who have ever been on our stage or event will get financial support to help ease the economic burden caused by Covid-19.”
On the top of their list is presenter actress and model Ntando Duma who had received a bank notification from the EFF referenced as ‘EFF Relief Fund.
Sis was so ecstatic that she just had to share the news on twitter. “Woke up to a bank notification with a reference ‘EFF Relief Fund’ Yerr man! Juju” she said.
It looks like Duma isn’t the only one that will be laughing all the way to the bank as Motswako rapper Fifi Cooper also mentioned that she too got the payment after re-tweeting Ndando’s tweet saying: “The best notification FNB has ever sent ka 2020”
Although the amount given to each person wasn’t disclosed, we can almost bet that the cheque was one to definitely smile about.
