Prepare for a comedic extravaganza as the internationally celebrated actor and comedian Eddie Griffin takes center stage at the upcoming Laugh Africa Comedy Festival. Set to unfold next month, this festival promises uproarious laughter and unforgettable performances.

But that’s not all the laughter on the horizon. The anticipation builds as the panel for the highly-awaited Showmax Roast of Minnie Dlamini is unveiled. Comedy powerhouses Tumi Morake and Jason Goliath lead the charge, ensuring no punches are pulled in this no-holds-barred roast.

Joining Morake and Goliath are a handpicked selection of wit and humor: Trevor Gumbi, Shahan Ramkissoon, Celeste Ntuli, Lasizwe, Penny Lebyane, Da L.E.S, Siv Ngesi, and Robert Marawa. Brace yourselves as the comedic fireworks ignite on April 5, 2024, with the live recording of the Showmax Roast of Minnie Dlamini, exclusively airing on Showmax from April 26, 2024.

But the laughter doesn’t stop there. From April 5th to 7th, the Sandton Convention Centre will host the Savanna and Showmax Laugh Africa Comedy Festival, showcasing over 50 comedians across three genres: English, Vernacular, and Afrikaans. From seasoned pros to rising stars, the festival lineup boasts an array of talent, including Eugen Khoza, Alfred Adriaan, Chantal Jaxx, and Chris Mapane. And let’s not forget about the dynamic duo of Conrad Koch and Trevor Gumbi, who are set to bring the house down with their comedic prowess.

Get ready to laugh until your sides ache as the Laugh Africa Comedy Festival delivers a weekend packed with humor, entertainment, and unforgettable moments.
