Dr. Musa Mthombeni has shared a touching tribute to his wife, Liesl Laurie, as she celebrates her 34th birthday on December 24th. The TV personality and doctor posted a series of sweet pictures of Liesl, who was crowned Miss South Africa in 2015, and described her as “the love of my life.”
“It’s officially here. The best day of the year – 24th of December – meaning that it is my baby girl’s birthday. Happy International Liesl day 2024,” Dr. Musa wrote in his post. “As you guys know, I’m a man of few words, but today feels like one of those occasions where I need to say a lot. This is Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni, the lady who makes every single day feel better than the last. Someone who effortlessly makes my heart smile and loves me for who I am. She’s the most precious person in this world, and I am the happiest guy alive. If you think I’m lying, ask your aunt’s stepmother, and she’ll tell you.”
He ended the post with a playful mention of their dog, Cashew, saying, “Cashew says woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof.”
In response, Liesl shared her own heartfelt gratitude for her special day. “34 candles. Happy birthday to ME!” she wrote. “Thank you Lord for a year of softness, blessings, growth, and love.”
Liesl’s birthday was celebrated by friends and followers alike. Model Blue Mbombo sent her well wishes, saying, “Happy birthday my forever Miss SA,” while media personality Ayanda Thabethe also shared her admiration, posting, “Happiest birthday dear Liesl. 34 never looked this glorious.”
