DJ Zinhle’s Ex Employee In Court Over R96k Worth Of Stolen ‘Era’ Merch. DJ Zinhle brand, ‘Era By DJ Zinhle’ is one of the most successful brands from a South African celebrity having celebrated over a decade in business and thriving.
It’s success and longevity also means she has provided employment to a lot of people in the retail industry for the past decade. Unfortunately some have been unkind to her. One of the entrepreneur’s ex employees, 23 year old Thobile Malatjie is set to go on trial for theft in July. This comes after her mediation application got denied by the Hatfield Magistrates’ Court in Pretoria.
Malatjie was reportedly arrested back in January for allegedly stealing Era jewellery products from Zinhle’s Menlyn store worth almost R100k. The police reportedly searched and found the stock in her home leading to her arrest. The 23 year old was later released on R5 000 bail. She is set to go on trial on the 24th of July 2023.
This is not the first time Zinhle has been a victim of her employees, it was previously reported that one of her employees had stolen R500k from her business account.
