DJ Zinhle is back with new music—this time teaming up with rising star Sweet Guluva for a song fans are already excited about. The popular DJ and businesswoman recently shared a teaser of the upcoming track, titled “Sweet Guluva,” and it’s set to be released on 6 June 2025.
Zinhle took to social media to give fans a sneak peek of the song and a fun dance that goes along with it. She captioned the clip: “It’s official. ‘SWEET GULUVA’ drops on the 6th of June. We’re up! @nokwazidlams @ndlohjnr @sweet_guluva.”
This exciting collaboration has been in the works since March, when DJ Zinhle first revealed that she was planning to make a song with Sweet Guluva, the winner of Big Brother Mzansi: Umlilo Season 5. Zinhle was one of the many fans who supported Sweet Guluva during his time on the show, and it seems that support has now grown into a full-blown music project.
In a TikTok video earlier this year, DJ Zinhle explained how the collaboration came about. She shared that she contacted Sweet Guluva’s mother, Bongiwe Zwane, to talk about featuring him on a song. Interestingly, the two women have a personal history—they both attended the same school.
“I spoke to Bongiwe Zwane, Sweet Guluva’s mother, who I went to school with, and I told her we intend to record a song and feature Sweet Guluva,” Zinhle said in the video.
Zinhle confirmed that everything is already in motion and that she’s fully committed to helping Sweet Guluva grow in the music industry. “That plan is in motion. We’ll do whatever we need to do to help him succeed,” she added.
She also took a moment to thank fans for their support of Sweet Guluva during his Big Brother journey. “I don’t think I did anything amazing to contribute to the success, but I appreciate that you appreciate the little I did for Sweet Guluva.”
