DJ Zinhle has shared heartfelt condolences following the death of singer Winnie Khumalo, who passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the age of 51 after a brief illness. The popular DJ posted a picture of herself with Winnie and shared an emotional message on social media, expressing her deep sorrow.

“Though you are no longer with us, your love and presence remain in our hearts,” DJ Zinhle wrote. “We promise to honor the bond you shared with your precious daughter @rethabile_rsa by surrounding her with all the love, care, and support she deserves. Your legacy of love will live on through her, and we will do everything in our power to make sure she is safe, happy, and deeply loved. Rest peacefully, knowing that she will never walk this journey alone.”

In a separate Instagram story, DJ Zinhle offered words of comfort to Rethabile Khumalo, Winnie’s daughter. “Losing your mom is an unimaginable pain, and my heart goes out to you during this difficult time,” she wrote. “Please know that you are not alone. We are here for you—today, tomorrow, and always. Lean on us for anything you need, whether it’s a listening ear, a helping hand, or just someone to be there with you. Your mom’s love and legacy will live on in you and the memories you hold dear. May you find strength and comfort in knowing that you are surrounded by people who care deeply for you.”
