The baby that we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived all that’s left to do now, is watch little Owethu grow!
Well we guess the whole point of DJ Zinhle starting a blog was to share all the special little MOMents about her baby girl with us instead of having the media in their lives 24/7.
The proud mommy took to her blog to share and celebrate surviving the first week with her little baby girl. A lot of us were wondering why they gave the baby the names that they did and well Zinhle started off her blog, momentsbydjzinhle , by explaining the names Kairo and Owethu.
She wrote: “Kairo is an Arabic name and is a variant of Cairo, meaning ‘Victorious One’. Her father liked the name and decided to name her Kairo. My mother chose her second name Owethu. Owethu is a Zulu name meaning ‘Ours’. She is ‘Our Victorious One’.”
Zinhle went on to explain that she was never ready to experience the love that she did when she first laid eyes on her daughter.
“I remember the day clearly and it’s a memory I hope I never forget. Her first cry is still well embedded in my mind. When they put her on my chest, my heart was ready to explode. I was in love, I cared, I wanted to protect her, hold her and let her know that I would do everything I could to make sure she is the happiest girl in the world.”
Well we honestly just can’t wait for little Kairo to start walking and playing with L.E.S’ daughter. Is anyone else shocked at how good Zinhle is with words?
